Even as a Duck lover that's a good 'un! Well done. Do you know if there is much Falconry done in Maine, USA? We have a parcel of land there, about 37 acres with timber to one end and it just struck me that might be a cool place to hunt ( If we ever get out there!)

Thanks to everyone, this is the result in about a good douzen of opportunities at ducks...

The thing in ditches is "timing" to let go the hawk. I'm trying hard again today...as long as there is no gunners in the area

Daffy!
Maine is right in the eastern flyway...lotsa ducks travel through there. Pure woodland wouldn't attract them but an nice big calm pond in the middle of the woodlot would get you a couple of varied species.

Dan... Perseverance is key as you tought me... and I'm learning it big time now;) Great going!

Good one! A dozen!...wow I won't feel bad then after 6 or 7 misses  (once I even get a Gos). Doesn't look like much stuff to hide behind to sneak up on them though...and they must here that ATV from a mile away...Seems like a real trophy to me!

...Bill, that's about the average all in all 1 out of 8-12.. set up and timing matters
