Hi all,
Been looking over the forum at hoods made by others, trying to get some inspiration for a hood that would look great on a female harris hawk. Now I don't want comments like "why hood a harris" etc :P
Does anyone who does hood their harris have any pictures of the hoods they use. I am going to try and make my second hood a good one :P lol
thanks all

Hi FHF
Do you have a pattern that you could send me for that red anglo on that female?
I quite fancy having a go at that!
all the best

this is the Bharaini i have on my Male. Its tatty now but it had a snakeskin pattern on the back/side piece which would have been quite nice!

can some one say how you create the " rolled" edge on the base of the hood? Like the red one posted by FHF.

By stitching/glueing another peice of leather to the edge of the main part of the hood.
You can see the stitch marks on that hood if you look closely.

And from the other side,, althought the pictures do not show, the light brown on the center panels are light tan leaves and the cenetr is fully tooled and has the John Moran leather washers and Tegu lizard eye panels.

Very nice indeed! Looks complicated to make though!
I would like to make something similar to the anglo indian that FHF posted on the first page. The red dyed hood.

I just remembered these pictures of a hood I made for a female Harris a few years back. It is a 4 colored Khan and is 100% tooled.
