Have you discovered any little tips for different quarry? What is your favourite tactic for each species?

You need vto know your quarry to see what it will do, also quarry react differently to different predators. Go out hawking with other people

Now an old country lag told me this, and I swear tis true.......
On a cool dark clear misty night, cover your face in tar. Hide in a hedge but try not to make a smell because rabbits can always hear it if you smell. Then wait til dawn and as the magpies fly backwards and the hedgehogs shuffle, approach from a north southwesterly direction. Rember to pick up your feet if you have dropped them, and place yourself a good distance from any hole. Slowly release your falcon and get it following on nicely, but be sure to watch for any movement in the tree tops. Then and only then approach your hole using your duck whistle as a decoy. After which blow seven times into it and stand well back in case of explosions. At any time the Woodcock my rise and you could miss them, for they are as slippery as a Hare covered in eels.
Alternatively you could go out in all weathers, everyday with a couple of ferrets and let nature take its course. Oh and you might need a hawk. Oh and if your like me you will still miss more than is humanly possible.
