Steve Tait makes a great set as well as Jack Stoddart.I have seen some smaller sets on e-bay but have not heard any feedback on them. I use blocks from 5 different sets of blocks.
I sell about 10-15 sets a year and have been for 3-4 some years, they are very versatile, well made and I have literally DOZENS of patterns that can be used with the Chinook blocks, they can also be purchased through Northwoods Falconry Supplies.
Legendary hood maker John Moran, who in my opinion is the finest hood maker that has ever lived uses my blocks and speaks very highly of them.

i like and use the type where the tethering ring is about two or three inches from the bottom! ben long long sells them , the plastic type ones with astro turf, i think my ideal block would be the type i have just mentioned , but with a rubber top like the ones sold by crown falconry and one or two people! rubber is so much easier to keep clean and disinfect! so come on manufacturers come up with a rubber topped block with the ring attached about a third from the base!

Hey Nickic , wrong type of blocks. You are talking about falcon blocks we are discussing blocks made to form hoods.

I will never need blocks as I could not saw a rip in a pair of jeans. But I know a man that can saw and make that rip disappear, and he makes great hoods!!!

Hi Ken. How ya doin?
Why do you say this? How do you base your judgement on? Sewing, fit, artistic, etc? I've got a couple of his hoods and ..well they are my least favorite.

Hey Bill, I am doing well,, just super busy and trying like Hell to catch up, very busy time of year for hood makers!!
John Moran,, Hey we all have our opinion. He was so ahead of his time and hoodmakers the world over are still copying his original ideas he did 40 years ago. His fit in my mind is perfect, and many that have used his hoods swear by them.. As for artwork and craftsmanship on his hoods,? John in my mind is in a league "ALL HIS OWN", but that again Bill is just my opinion.
Hope all is well with you and family..

Thank you Bill.. Long way to go!! You can PM if you wish how's the hood making going? Did you get the lizard? I am tutoring 3 new students and they are doing very well, it will be interesting to see how they progress as time rolls along. I do look forward to seeing some of your hoods when I come down this fall winter to the MN Meets..
