Those swivels r from pakistan - i know - i had a glove from there with that swivel on - will get a pic when i can post.
I get my swivels off Mal, he gets them off a guy called Kev I think. They are great swivels, last for yonks and are inexpensive too!
look the biz also!
ATM, i have 3 medium swivels, 2 small swivels, 3 large swivels, 2 figure 8 swivels, sampo swivel and an small eagle swivel (just need a big eagle swivel lol)
I got one from the falconers fair, its got a realy long d ring, good if you use the safety leash or german scisssor snap. I think Karen rose and raptor originals sells that style - ?!
(I've also got 160 odd leashes if anyone is interested lol!)

Yea, I figured that it wasn't a very good one by the quality. I do not use it on my birds. I also have a Titanium swivel from Pineo falconry and will try to get a picture of it for this thread.

Very well made, but I am just used to using the sampo's so I don't really use it. Not sure if his site is up yet, but I will check.

Them bells are so terrible. A friend gave them away for nothing the other day.
Are they from a Christmas cracker ?
I wouldn't put them bells on a 3 legged ,blind, deaf mange ridden cow let alone a BOP.
SORRY!
maybe his bells arent that good but there good for the price of em, you can easily find better bells but at 4 or 5 times the price.if u wanna buy them buy them, if u dont then dont, but no need to put him down
chuffpiece chas well they are surely not from a christmas cracker and if you dont like em its ok, put em in your neck they might suite you.
SORRY! (and think before you write wht you are writting) this is a forum to share not to insult others.

Oh Dear!!
Mr Ali you seem to be confused!
When i said SORRY i was not apologizing for what i wrote. I was saying Sorry because i am sorry your bells are **** and i am not interested in them.
You have taken this personally which shouldn't be the case! I am a customer and i am telling you that i think you should change your product slightly. By doing this you will then have more business. No demand, No business.
I have seen plenty of Pakistani bells and they are very poor in comparison to others. The worst ones are the ones you sell!
What i don't understand is if you cant afford good bells for your bird then you shouldn't have a bird in the first place! What happens when it is time to go to the vets do you take it to the pet shop instead of going to the vets and ask them to have a look and buy something from the shelves.
The only way bells like these should be used on a BOP is if you have a bird that is a known bell picker. Once the bird has stopped this vice then proper ones should be fitted. This applies to swivels as-well. Why by cheap inferior products. Your bird should be your pride & joy and should get the best husbandry and equipment possible.
Sean if you where to buy these bells from the Internet or a another source and the day came when they arrived through the post, you will be very disappointed. This applies to every novice or unaware buyer that buys these bells. If you sold them Ali for 50p then they would be value for money.
I tell you what i will make a bell tonight and post the pictures.
The materials i use will be the following......................................... ......
A coca cola can
A pebble
A piece of string and 6 mm of sticky tape.
I will crush the can slightly and the put the pebble in it, i will the put the tape over the hole and then tie a piece of string around the ring pull.
This will then be tail mounted in the normal manner. Please Pm me for orders before the new season as i get very busy selling them in during the season :D .
What do you call a man who lives in between two houses ???????????
Ali :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D
make sure u send pics of the coca cola bells, i cant wait
r u a man of your word lol?
Oh thats very funny chas as well as very intresting too! coz i am very sure you wouldnt have seen as many birds in your dreams as many as i have flown till this age, and dont give silly examples which show whts your mental situation mate, coz where i live its a very diffrent place from yours such things can be said there but not here so please cut the **** and if you dont like em dont but dont try to teach me coz i might know alot more than you do and yes i dont take my birds to Vets mate i make my own herbal medicines for me birds so no worries for me or me birds i didnt take anything serious coz everyones got his or her own opinion about others, but its only the matter of mental stability. And once again i dont get confused...........lol i can assure you that!
Chas :D :D :D :D

OK guys this is enough now, people have their opions and that is fine. Read the section you are in and it is an archive not a place for this kind of discussion. The thread is stuffed now so please do not make it worse or more work to rectify.

SO its all right for you to have your say and be abusive to people when you disagree with someone, yet when other people are having a disagreement you class as petty bickering.
Cheek!
J look in before out

Hi CpC
Thank you for your incisive & instructional post
no I don't think it's all right fro me to have my say( I specifically did not promote my own swivels on this thread, ) & I certainly do not think it is right to abusive with someone I disagree with( If I have done this in the recent past I do humbly apologize, there are extenuating circumstances ( not that this is any excuse)& a couple of times I have got irate, & have said sorry for this both on and off list)
I was really trying to offer the same class thread that HM did( does it make any difference whom sets the thread up?)
As for petty bickering as the thread should have been a serious one with relation to Swivels( there are some excellent, good, mediocre and down right dangerous ones available) and this was my intention to produce a positive environment where folks can discuss this important piece of equipment and also see what is on the market. I don't think the thread was helped by a lister posting a picture of bells on the thread by mistake, but he did say sorry? I do however stick to my comment with regard petty bickering. I take not of your comment to look inward before outward, and this I feel is actually sound advice,. even though I have had a fair amount of experience in the fireld of falconry it must be only a fool that feels he has nothing to learn from others, so I feel grateful that you have reminded me to be introspective.
However with regard to the thread I feel I have I failed miserably and as I have been involved in the forum for such a short time I should have left the posting of such a thread( which yes could have become a valuable archive to experienced falconers, beginners and those just setting out on 'the journey'
I do hope you feel none of my post here is confrontational, it is NOT meant to be.
Again CPC I am grateful for you bring this to my attention.
yours respectfully
SJ

Sean, there are some things you can get away with buying a cheaper version but never bells.
In my opinion Lahore bells are pants and should only be used by Santa on his sleigh.
Dont get me wrong I have used them years ago but once saw a Saker with its beak jammed in the bell opening because the metal was so weak.
Buy one, then ring it next to a Noble or one of the other quality bells and you will understand.
ill be buying a tail bell from andy peel anyway, will compare then h4waka :)
