here are some pic's of burnished hoods no varnish or laquer spray just time and work the hoods are for tiercel and large tiercel small falcon

And I think this is a shape/fit all hoodmakers can aspire to.
I like a nice fancy hood to look at but if I were buying a hood today, this is EXACTLY what I would order.

John not of these hoods got nothing at home they would fit here is a few jack merlin, merlin and barbary x saker falcon flying weight 2lb 4oz
hope this shows you what you want one of the hoods is about 3 years old.

Looks a super "working" hood. How thin is the leather? Do you have a web site?

thickness of the leather. i use very thin on the merlins and a bit thicker on the rest all calf:lol:
approx weights of my hoods are
jack merlin 5.5 -5.8 grams
merlin 5.9 - 6.7grams
tiercel 10 - 14 grams
tiercel/falcon 10 - 14 grams
falcon 10 - 14 grams
fin/ gos female 15 - 18 grams
i don't have a web site at the moment personal reasons!
