whats the best way to get a falcon fit some one said fly it from the block straight to the lure great distances to get it fit but i thought that with the bird stooping the lure and been on the wing for short flights would be more exercise

A game hawk doesnt really need to be extra super fit, persuit falcons are best fittened with an expertly swung lure, then hunted asap!

.......also get the bird flying in stronger winds; the bird will have to get itself positioned right and will muscle up quickly. For fresh off the creance in-experienced birds make the transition to stronger winds more gradual.:supz:
Watch for the beak toopen then reward well. The bird will remember and work harder next time.

As a confirmed lure swinger I have little doubt that the quickest way to get a bird is a Kite or a Model Aeroplane. In 14 days they have to be seen to be believed.
