I've never had any problems. Generally fleas are species specific, rabbit fleas on rabbits, badger fleas on badgers, cat fleas on cats and dogs( dog fleas don't like central heating). Fleas are adapted for going through fur not feather, and will probably not be able to breed on bird blood, so the most you may expect is shory term irritation. I've never been bitten by rabbit fleas despite having put them in the passanger footwell of the car.

I have had major problems with the transfer of fleas and ticks from rabbits to ferrets, but not rabbits to hawk. Something to do with them being different animals methinks :D :D :D
Having said that I check me hawk after each outing and any worries its out with the ol johsons mate

most mammals cant carry avian fleas except hedgehogs i believe, so unless you are catching hedgehogs lol I wouldn't worry to much.

ive had this too, the rabbit variety seem only to like rabbits and ferrets, your dogs and birds are pretty safe as far as i know
(watch out for those ticks on your dogs muzzle though, to check your dog for fleas roll it over onto its back and chack around its genitals/belly.. fleas seem to like it here
