yesterday i was cleaning out the ferrets,to ease the job i put the ferrets into a mobile wire pen, done it hundreds of times without a problem, but yesterday after i'd cleaned out i was one ferret missing,it's amazing you turn you're back and they're gone, anyway once the other ferrets were secure the search began but i didnt have long till i spotted him in next doors garden under the hedge with a group of kids bateing him, before i could intervene one of the kids made a grab for him and hauld him from under the hedge,of coarse only a nightmare can follow such behavioure and sure enough he latches onto the kids hand,at this point i'm locked in my back garden and had to go through the house to get to the kid,who was by the time i got there doing an impresion of a headless chicken with a ferret securly fastened to his hand,i removed the ferret, and checked the injury which thankfully wasnt as bad as i'd imagined only one small break in the skin but very red and sore,i applied antiseptic for him and let him go on his way,20 minutes later i had his dad at the door extremely abusive and threatening i told him his kid had no right grabbing the ferret and it was his own fault,at this he took off his jumper and started doing a strange little dance and screaming what he was going to do to me and the ferrets,as the wife and kids were out i thought enough is enough,i steped out and gave him a quick lesson in manners,he whent away with a dented ego and his tail between his legs, next on the scene were the police,he now wants to press charges, after telling the police the story and how this man tried to force his way into my house and how i used minimal force to repell him they left but said they'd be intouch if further action is to be taken, FERRETS! i had a good head of hair before i started with ferrets,NIGHTMARES!

Tell the cops you want to report the blokes kids for cruelty to animals!!
And you'l sue him for letting his brats damage your ferret!!
Must be a real good tempered ferret not to have gone through and out the other side of the kid!! :yawinkle: :yawinkle:

my ferrets are real gems you can do anything with them they fun fight with the dogs they run riot in the house this time of year they get bathed about once a month to stem the odour and bath time is a real hoot, complete kittens easy to handle and work, but regardless the only defence they have is to bite,

enough is enough,i steped out and gave him a quick lesson in manners
i'm a queensbury rules type of guy

I say old boy, did you punch him on the nose?
Bloody good show.

Your obviously quite a restrained chap........
I must say, despite my rich toffy nosed elequant upbringing, as well as a punch on the nose, I'd have kicked the ****er in the nuts once he was down.........
I have no time for ****s.

not so much restrained as getting older and wiser my mate, living where i live i've fought my way through my teens and into adult hood,i'd love to just settle down but these situations just keep comming along,at 41 i've just about had enough,at 31 i'd have cicked him up and down the street a couple of times.
