Can anyone give advice on were to start with an incubator i have bought on best methods IE: Temperatures / Turning / et etc.
I have bought a basic incubator to start it is a still air model.

Do you not work ? An auto turn is a good start. Temperature dependant on what your hatching. Most people will chart egg weight loss when incubating to decide on level of humidity.

Yes i do work but my parntner does not and she will help..
Come on then tell me more were do i start how does the weight loss effect the humidity..
I wait to lean Grasshopper!!...lol :wink:

Buy the book "Falcon propergations" they explain a lot about breeding and incubation.

I'm still learning myself. I happen to have the benefit of knowing some experience breeders. When asked what was the most common mistake made by beginners is, the unamous reply is impatience and intervening too early when the egg pips.
This year my three year old Anatum hen failed to lay. Looks like I will have to wait another year.

First learn to walk on rice paper without leaving footprints, then you will be ready to learn the ways of the incubator.
