This is a hood i made for my male Brookei ''Sniper''. I used a selfmade pattern.
What do you think of the fit?

Cheers,

Chris

Its a great hood, I'm not an expert but it looks a tiny bit tight at the side of the beak, an could rub.:yawinkle:

That's about as good a fit as anyone could hope for. Actually, in my mind, this is THE fit.
Do you sell your hoods?

Justin

Looks good to me.

Harris. I think it may just have turned in slightly. Bend it a little and it will go back to as it should be. Damn near perfect if ya ask me. lol

Nice hood. I think it could rub where its meets the beak and I like to flair mine out a bit here so that the edge of the leather doesn't make a pressure edge. The way I do this after getting the fit is to wet (with spit) this edge and then leave on the bird till dry. This way the birds head acts as an individual block. Try it with an old hood first, I think you'll like it!¬

Hi FalconGriff,

Thx for your reply to this thread.

The edges of the beakhole don't touch the soft tissue at all, because the edges are falling slightly inwards of the face. Also my opinion if you flare the edges and that touches the soft parts,it is still a pressure point, and can in time become a problem.

But i,m glad people are trying different things to get the perfect beakhole!

Thx again,

Cheers,

Chris
