What does every body use to carry the things they have caught when out hawking.

I use a rucksack. It cost £15 and is great. Used to use a bag that looked like something a paper boy would use but tired of all the weight being on 1 shoulder. Also used a bag that was attached to my belt once that was even more awkward.

I always used a bag up until about 5 years ago as I was always a bit of a traditionalist, though since using a vest once, I've not used a bag since.

Bags look nice and have their place, but for hunting, a vest just seems more practical. Not everyones cup of tea though.

GDN, I use a Doug Pineo waistcoat in the cold weather. In hotter times I use a "Turkey hunting vest" by Browning - bought in the states, dogs ******** but only downside is its in a realtree pattern. Cabela's in the states has a good selection of Turkey vests at not vast sums of money - some of the falconry hawking vests are a bit of over kill and not all that room or pockets are required.

trying a vest with the new gos but usually use a bag. the missus loves her vest bought of B long a few years back similar to BFG's above and swars by it.

got mine of e-bay its blummin great but the proof will be in the pudding. Always found running down your bird ith a bag a pain.

just bought a hawking vest, the game pouch doesn't look huge, but i bet you could fit 4 cock pheasants in it....so not nearly enough  , this year the bunnies will have nightmares of the unforgivingly fast and merciless harris that slaughtered their loved ones...MHUAHAHAHhahahahaaaaa....well thats the plan. So got a bit off topic..i will also take a bin bag to carry them all too

Rucksack and waist bag.
The bad thing is with vest's is when you start to run with them on.
It looks like a mexican wave.

I have to admit i have never used a vest. A few years ago I was too tight to buy 1 so i bought a ruck sack. Great thing about to my ruck sack is that it can take at least 5 rabbits in it but the most i have ever had in it is 3 still loads of room plus my small fold away shovel for digging out the ferret if it lies up. Now that is an essential piece of kit. 1 of these things that i hope i don't have to use but i normally do

lee the 1 i was having at the fair was his last of that kind, and as i was 'nt going to be needing it for a few months i said i would pay for it and he could post it to me when he got back and got sorted out...

he mailed me when he got back...mailed me when it was ready for shipping and also mailed me a couple of days before i accualy got it just to see if i had recieved it....

i would say a very 100% top bloke.

The Pineo falconry bag looks very good, from the pic it looks as though Mr Pineo has come up with a design that will reduce the probs of a bag getting in the way when jumping fences.

I use a Pineo Hawking vest top piece of kit and extremely well made to and has plenty of pockets.

I have a 10x realtree hunting vest big pockets on either side, big game pouch on the back & a few smaller pockets...in Realtree green camo & I have a hunting belt with 2 big pouches either side & a large rear poch for quarry in realtree again. So i can use either one depending on hunting or just flying the bird.
