my mhh died yday reason not known, was out hunntin with him every think going well, then on way home he started to lie down on the glove then start fallin off got him home quick phoned the vet but it was to late, he died in my hands in kitchen, but still took him down to the vet to get a post mortum done, as i have a fhh as well and wanted to make sure it wasnt anythink hes eaten or any disease that the fhh could catch.
the vet told me every think was ok in side, liver, heart etc so im stunned, really gutted, he was comin on so good, he was 5yrs old. had to tell my son today and it broke his heart:cry::cry:

Hard luck and we all feel sorry for you. I'm not saying it was the fault in this case as I haven't seen the bird, but we ALL need to take great care when this cold north wind is blowing it can knock the stuffing out a bird so quickly its untrue If its cold and windy and your bird lies down of the glove first move is to get inside your shirt to bring the warmth back up no it wont foot you as it will be too weak. Also try to put a bit of extra weight on the bird before you go out in it. OK so a rabbit may get away but you'll still have your bird.
absolutely gutted for you mate! i would be absolutely wounded! weight! desiese it matters not now! best wishes to you fella!:yawinkle:

really gutted for you mate............esp for your lad too!!
it's importnat to put this on here so other learn from it...........but doesn't help you........feels horrible ,but stay with it! couldit be down to flying him a little hard (only because it's so cold) and then not covering him up after . get a warm blanket (plus space blanket)or spare jacket so it nevers happens again.......it may not have been this, but either way it would help...i've heard of Gos' doing just this before.....just got too cold!!
none of this helps at such a bad time.............sorry buddy:(
atb with fhh..heart goes out to you and your son as me and my son would be the same as you both:(
