Guy Wallace has wrote about these in his book.
I like the look of them personally.
Don't think the purist amongst us would approve.
There should be a club on the net who do field trials and stuff. Have you tried the kennel club.

If I remember rightly they look something like a Basset hound (long ears) x pointer, usually liver & white. If this is the case I have flown one of my game hawks and the dog performed admirably. Unfortunately i was brought up around 'herds' of basset hounds hounds which has left be somwhat predgudiced. I reckon they could be a cracking little dog tho

I've seen a couple at the North West Gsp Club training days, the trouble is the specimens in the uk are mainly for showing and are most likely being bred for looks and not performance. You'd probably have to import a true working example.

check out http://www.champdogs.co.uk/ there's plenty of breeders listed. i'm sure some would give advice...
they seem like the sort of dog that just wants to work all day long........ saw one at crufts & it was not the fluffed up show type...

the dog could be a complete arse but the owner was a poncy looking country type, (+4's etc) and surrounding his stand - where the dog was sitting - were an almighty array of photo's of his dog... pheasant in mouth, rabbit in mouth etc... also when I asked the guy he explained it was a hell of an energetic hound & 'wants to work all day'...

Cheers guys, I have been in touch with Bracco society but I wanted an independant view of breed also. If you see any working let me know.
And your right they are very 'hound' looking - see attached.

I know of one Scottish Falconer who tried one several years ago, he kept the dog for two seasons but moved onto a Brittany, i asked him why and he said that the dog had a bit of an aggresion prob with his kids??
When asked if he would have another, he said no!
Thats all i can add to this thread?

Funny old thing really!
You don't want one of them, get a Brittany!
