hello,
i have got a redtail fresh out the avairy,it has been with its parents for seven months ....i have trained one other redtail before but that one had some work put into it before.Any tips and comments on training them would be appreacited

well i trained a redtail later year that was in adult plumage and it had never been touched, i just treated it as a new bird. all i can say is taken your time,and dont give up because you get footed from time to time, that will all stop as the bird starts to hunt and becomes a good hunter, you will be able to take a wide array of quarry with your redtail and they are as much fun to fly as a harris or even more, i find that i dont get as bored with the red, as your not alway sure whats going to happen next and harris,s are a bit predicable.

Bloody predicatable sparthe one??? You naughty naughty man. Redtails are un-predictable alright........well only if they are badly manned :) :) Is yours unpredictable lol lol lol lol

not really unpredictable,but he keeps me on my toes,i been able to see quarry that he could take on, and then out of the blue he would belt off after something else in the other direaction,so thats what i meant, sorry it wasn,t very clear,lol.
