Can anybody tell me the average size, please?

Male gyr is 43 - 49mm
Male Saker is 40 - 44mm

43-49 is a fair range in sizes.

Hi Justin they vary a lot as does their overall weight but as starting point you wont go far wrong with a range of female Peregrine hoods with larger beak openings. I wet round the beak hole leather with spit and then gently roll outwards then put on the bird and leave till try for a perfect fit without cutting the leather.
