1 of my female gosses thats being used for breeding this year(fingers crossed they will)is creche reared,bought of a bloke at liverpool who had it bought for him by his mate as his origanal bird flew into a fence and the unfortunate thing happened:( shes a stunner of a bird and a credit to him.

One question why creche reared, what is your reason for this preference?

Of course it's just a method of bring up the youngsters. Like all things in life there are plus and minus in the method. On the good side if the rearing is done properly, ad lib food and them seeing lots of people, then you get a very tame Gos that if your handling is good you should be able to fly at a higher weight. It should be able to go both ways in breeding, AI or natural. The minus, it may scream. if your handling is not good it may be evil mannered and may even attack you!. Breeding wise it may not breed well at AI or natural. The choice is yours!! Its no good asking for advise as all us old ones are set in our ways and will opt for the type that suits us best. For me its got to be the full imprint.:confused:
