Quite sad this really, had the bird 6 weeks now and no one even registered the bird as lost. He's a stunning bird, great manners, dead steady and a complete imprint. Someone obviously spent a lot of time with him. Shame.

Thats the plan I think. BrianM has offered. Not sure what it would be like to fly as it is probably 12 years plus.

That is really sad, maybe that is why they let her go in the first place, because of her age? hope you find a good home for her.

I dont suppose you noticed if she was left handed did you?? just asking .. :P

how easy would it be to get papers for the bird?

12 is not even middle aged for a buzzard in captivity, we have a buzzard in display who is around age 20 he is a great bird

No papers needed.

correct but if you want to have the bird named as "yours" the IBR will register it in your name as no owner has comne forward and provide a split ringfor you i understand.

Legally it can never be mine, if someone comes forward and can prove it was their bird they are legally entitled to have it back.

Getting quite attached to the old chappie, heavily in moult now. He's useful for training my Setter who is a bit nuts. He torments my falcon but the buzzard takes no sh@t so the pup is learning some respect for birds!
