What is the best transmitter to buy to suit a Luksander on 216mhz?
Whats the general view on the PowerMax transmitter? I seem to remember hearing good reports about it a while back.....
Who would you recommend I buy from?
Thanks in advance!

I have found the 6v Luksander to be the best, but have now switched over to the Marshal PowerMax.
Where can you get them  2nd had, Garlands, eBay or watch this space I have 3 on their way.

Has anyone ordered these directly from the states? I know you can't order them directly from Marshalls but was considering trying to order them from a stockist ($194).

The best Trans......that's a bit like saying which is the best bird....It's all preference. I like the Marshall RT+ and Powermax transmitters, But I have also had good luck with LL as well.

noe other thought is the Merlin transmitters, I use one with 1/3 fn=mv lithium battery which has a good range and a battery life of over 30 days, giving you plenty of time to track a longwing, and prices are fair too, under £100 from the states

I bought directly from the US. But as I am german I just got it send over to my mum and then took it over to the UK. Find someone in the US who would order it for you and then send it over to scotland.

just bought a marshall powermax second hand. i know its not the same but have been sending the lad out into the feilds to hide it and practicing locating it. so far have been getting soem great results and certainly feel confident in it. I also like the way you switch it on and off with the magnet.

Wight Wings I used to do that my mentor used to drive out of the village hide it or sometimes 2 of em. Give me the reciever at his front gate and tell me to find it. Its all good practice. Nobody should ever buy a reciever nd not practice when they buy it because they will kick themselves if they dont know how to use it. Referring to the manual in the field isnt a good idea.

You can get a Powermax 6v as opposed to 3v - I think its be made for Arab market but Marshalls sell it for £300+?!
