ok peeps,
i'm sick of reading peoples posts about starting new mews and what not,
i'm also sick of prommising my ferrets better accomodation,so this week i decided to make a start, and cheer myself up into the bargain,i've got the foundation down and the frame work is almost finnished but the fottos will follow of it's progress,......i wish i'd whent large on this one but the wife put her foot down about the ammount of garden i was taking up with all my building work so far and the lack of room for her get togethers and bbq's, this housing will measure 1.5mx1mx 2m high it will be three tear with the atic spaced utilised as a sleeping quarter and food storage (obviously seperated) couple of pics of the founds.

i'm trying to get hold of some heavy gauge weld mesh that still looks neat i found some the other day but for enough for the job it was arround 65 quid,it's going to be an all mesh enclosure with sheltered positions and sleeping quaters i need good quality wire otherwise i'll be allways repairing it.

Heres a bad pic of mine.

It is 8 x 4 ft and 6 ft high so I'm able to stand in it.
The ferrets for sure stay fitter and healthier, favourite toy is the football with holes cut in it, suspended on a bungee strap, they play for hours on this :D

my ferrets just have a normal hutch, but they are house ferrets so are indoors all their waking hours, and many of their sleeping ones too. However i still want to increase the size of their cage so i might b nicking some ideas...post more pics.

CZ that made me laugh.

A stack of hutches.

You should have built one yourself .It would of been cheaper and made to your design and arrangements.

lol yeah i know, it looks retarded but it works. I would of made one but i have no room to make one any bigger than the dimensions of a hutch, and we are moving soonish so i can take it with me lol. Then i can build a proper HUGE one, with a tunnel leading to the tower, which can be used for breeding ;)
