i have seen it on a video,it was a 1lbs 7oz mhh on a blue hare and it was being bucked all over the place, but as for the brown hare with a mhh i would steer well clear, i,m not saying can,t be done but its not worth the risk.

jase.

I have the video clips of it. They were up on the net but were using up too much space. If someone knows where we can upload them to, I will do them again.

I have lost two, one withing 4 months of him flying free. Don't do it unless you are experienced, its not at all fun to watch if you still get paralysed to the spot and don't run fast! I will be ready next season alright.......so will Cody.

Having had a f gos break a leg( only time it has happened with agos in 28 yrs) on a Hare I would use the old addage "discretion is the better part of valour" & unless well away from cover would be well advised to leave well alone , esp with a MHH. The hare that did the damage weighed just under 7lbs an teh F gos was fkying that day at 2lbs11& 3/4 ozs and wa s extremely fit0 just a bad incident I know but have mad many better fkights at othwer ground quarry & far better flights at airborne game

Read Passion for Harris Hawks, by Martin Hollinshead or Hawking with Golden Eagles if you read english dude. Tells you about the power of the Hare in great detail.
