Went out today to my local Rookery, Shot 7 branchers in about 30 mins, using a pre charged air rifle, good fun and now I have some black stuff for the birds.

8) Be careful pal ! If you use LEAD pellets I woudn't let my bird feed on them, unless you can definately see an exit wound on the rooks ? cheers Jim.C

Always careful of that thanks jim, you could just as easily feed up on a rabbit or pheasant that your bird had just caught, and that bird/animal might have been prevoiusly shot by someone else and only wounded, so I think if you are going to feed any wild food ie: road kills or rifle shot birds then you need to accept there could be a risk involved.

8) Your right ! can't be too careful though! We shoot crows with paintball guns.Just freeze the pellets first and turn up the velocity.You get some nice baggies that need a good bath afterwards ! :lol:

8) Usually stuns them enough to get them live.Good thing is though, the guns are fully automatic so you can get off about 11 rounds per second.Can't get too close though(deadly) :lol:

paintball guns :lol: sounds a bit brutal, what range can you take down a crow with one? I am off to the club to zero and fill up a couple of bottles (trapid 7, 300 shots each mhuahaha) then going to bag as many crows and rooks as possible to get my forthcoming harris used to them.

dont you have a divers bottle?....first thing i did was get a 12ltr 300 bar for my super 10.....i get about 50 buddie bottle fills then for £2.50..

each buddie giving me about 200 + shots per fill........ (divers bottle lasts us ages)

i got a cheap divers bottle...but got the wrong chuffing sort so i would only get about 8 fills from a huge bottle...hard to move around even to fill. It would be another £60 for the adapter so i didn't bother

was it a 232 bar?.......do you have tha gauge?..........the adaptors are cheep enough if you look about less than a fiver in places.

how many ltr is the divers bottle?
