Hey guys,
We might be getting a Hummer H2 at the start of next season. Since i Live in Dubai In the United Arab Emirates and hunt in the desert i think it will be a pretty suitable car and will look awesome! Do any of you guys have or use a Hummer H1 or H2 for falconry? I really hope we get one, i just think they are so amazing.
Let me know what you think!
Jonny.

I thought the hummer h2 was just based on a normal 4x4 SUV made by GM. Pile of pants off road, looks good though.

i have seen them on top gear, and he justified it lol. They look ok if you hate the planet and can afford the petrol. Why not get an old school defender? those things are the dogs ****** and seem to be pretty cheap, get 5.

There are amazing offroad, what are you talking about, they are half designed for the desert! And since petrol is cheaper out here that is not such a concern. PLus they are not that much more expensive than every other 4x4. I thought they would be too but they aren't too bad.
Anyway, i see we have some hummer haters on the forum so maybe i should end the topic!!!
Thanks,
Jonny.

We have the H2 here in large numbers....Mostly it's some soccer mom's driving it around town running over anything in their way....They are based on a regular Chevrolet frame and suspension, but with a different body.....Not really to great off road to be honest. The original H1 is a different story. They are great off road in wide open areas, but they are too damn wide to do any trail riding. I have been looking at the H2 as a possible hawking vehicle as they are only about $40k here.....It just sucks down fuel at a greater rate than my 7.3 liter diesel does.....don't know if I can afford the fuel!
A friend of mine has an old H1 hummer and I would not own one if it was the last vehicle on earth. It has the worst ride on the street, it has sod all for power, you have no room to move in the drivers seat as you are squashed up against a flimsy door....On the bright side, it has ample room for a bird to perch on the center hump in the cab as it is about 2 1/2 foot wide and chest high.

Looks like "I am the Weasal" is of the same opinion, this version of Hummer has nothing to do with the US forces original Hummer - it is just made under licence on a General motors SUV chassis using the Hummer name. Useless off road.

Exacxtly right OutFlying.
What it is, Is a posey, pumpy, impractical **** cart.
RE:- MPG, An aquaintance has one.
If he drives with a "foot of feathers" he returns 6 mpg.
If he "drives it like he stole it" he gets 3 mpg
It failed to impress me, It was a bit like riding around on a table with castors on the legs

Without doubt, A more capable, practical and economical vehicle.
More comfortable and cheaper to buy in the first place too. :D

Mr Gomez
Without any doubt the disco 3 is the mutts nuts and should prove to be a great buy. I will be buying one in the next couple of years as soon as landrover have ironed out any problems that occur.
Goodbye for the defender. But saying that the new defender is meant to be coming out 2008.
