Hello Chunty.
I have outfitted male harris hawks with either size 5 or 6. Females 9, 9.5.
There are some breeders in the southern US that are breeding real monster harris hawks. One female took a size 10.
Every hoodmaker as you have seen or will see uses a different sizing system and it also depends on style of hood.

they are to make anglo hoods but the book it called north american falconry and hunting hawks by beebe and webster

whatever the one i am trying to describe is called how much are they? I will be ordering one pretty soon (when i find out the size of the hawk i am getting) so i need to make sure i have enough lol

Yes this is the Maynes Hawk Hood, they are £40 each. They are designed to fit any female HH. I have also reduced the pattern to fit any Male HH. You can purchase them through my website :)

i got a hood for my female from ben long, i got the expected flying weight from my breeder gave the details to ben via email paid 22 quid i think and recieved a serious hood that fitted like a glove,top notch.
