Could someone explain the difference between the Fell, Lakeland and Patterdale terrier. Also it seems that a Lakeland and a Patterdale cross is very popular, what qualities does this give to the dog. Finally using terriers for hawking?

i would personally not use lakeland or patterdale for falconry they see something they want it i would go for a dog that is not so head strong my friend uses a patterdale cross jack for ferreting brillant with ferrets and never let him down marking but if after that he must be tiried down or he will be down the hole behind the ferret have used lakeland on foxes brillant fox dog but no good with rabbits if it did catch a rabbit going thought bushes it would normal pull it apart so i dont think you could but maybe with a lot of time and effort maybe you could
