Hi all, I forgot how to do a net of nylon or other kind of stuff, there's a some kind of knot that don't remember....... very bad cause i used to do good traps with very very low cost.

Anyone can help me, the system is the same of that used in fishing net, if anyone know a link or some help, it'll help me a lot.

Thank you , Brfalco

The knot is a kind of figure of eight, but a bit hard to describe. I am not sure even if I can find a picture showing how to do it. In Britain we use nets made like this to put hay for horses in. If you have these, it is quite easy to look at the knot and copy it. If I can find a picture will post.

If these are town pigeons you are after, find out where they are feeding and use cage traps.

I trap on the flat roof of a grain processing warehouse and that helps everyone.

These are cages about 1200mm X 600mm X 250mm made of 50mmX50mm weld mesh. The pigeons get in through funnel entrances but cannot find their way out.

That wouldn't happen to be a square knot, would it?

About the cage trap where they feed i can't, cause here there's that boring people that keep talking "how terrible you are!!!" "Killing Innocent animals" etc...
then with a net i can attract them to my garden and then catch them :P

thank you for all the replies, I'll looking for someone that know how to do net, and if one of you find it plz teach me!!!

ok...its not a work of art, best i could do at this time of night in 5 mins.
Hope this bit of art helps. The red strand is your top loops, knot the next row, the blue line, as per diagram. You can start with a small loop at the top, make quite a few loops around it using this kind of knot, then work down from there. Hope this helps
