Hi does anyone use condition without weight control?
ie without weighing them, however by carefully analyzing how large a crop they take , amount of energy exerted in the flight,, quality (& quantity of) of food & weather conditions to name a few & got better results as well???
Mods please move this to correct area, tried to post it under general talk , so as to cover long & short wings too
regards SJ

Have done in the past it is a vary complex subject, with many variables I found you need a good understanding of the indervidual bird along with a good knoeodge of the controling factors in the birds condition such as, weather, energy expended, type and quantity of food being fed, I think it is good if you can fly birds in this waybut would still advise weighing if only to get a picture of what is happening to the birds weight and not as a be all and end all guide
