I could do with some more info on the top surface, I guess it's up to somebody to experiment with a new surface, but for now I'll stick to astroturf. The price looks a bit steep to me as well, I like LS products plastic blocks for a fraction of the price.

I think the leather tab on the ring lets it down a bit. Not sure about the colour or the perching surface either.
i'm with you RH, Steves blocks are the dogs.

I concur....L&S blocks are the best at the moment.... I will talk to Steve to see if we can design the same kind of block :)

There must be a better top surface out there as astroturf is rather evil if one reads what the experts have to say?

Never had a problem with iy so far HM. I think if you disinfect it daily there isn't a better surface around at the moment.

I've no complaints about astroturf, is there really such a thing as a perfect surface? maybe it should be self cleaning!! You only need a couple of pieces of astro for each block, use one whilst you disinfect the other.

Thats how I do it mate. I have a bucket of virkon which I drop my astro in. Fresh every morning.

a blast with the power washer twice a week and a squirt of virkon,,, astroturf ,ye canny whack it
