ive asked this question before but got mixed answers can a pere x lanner lay eggs im not intrested in ai but if my bird can lay i could get her to rear young can anyone give me a yes or no please :cool:

yes i belive they can.

if memory serves me correct, most/all hybrids can lay eggs, but fertility varies from cross to cross

Yes they do, mine does and I have used her for foster rearing.

I would - mine laid without a male in with her!

They lay but I wouldn't expect them to be fertile. Much like a gyr/pere can lay but wouldn't be fertile. A gyr/saker or Gyr/lanner is generally fertile, all 3 being heirofalcons (sp).

Yes they can for females don't expect to get more than 1 egg in 10 fertile and then expect to have problems hatching it! Make good foster parent. Males have fertile (if thats the right word) semen, makes no sense but there it is!:confused:

Males have fertile (if thats the right word) semen, makes no sense but there it is!:confused:thanks chaps ill be putting her down to moult at the weekend so will see if she does lay ill get a little kestrel for her to rear as i say im not into ai but would be nice for her to rear ,
