For any falconers interested there are 7 places available on a first aid course, Sunday 12th June 2005 run by the Yorkshire Falconry Club with vet Neil Forbes.

Cost £35 which includes notes by Neil Forbes and a buffet. I believe first aid kits can be purchased at an additional cost.

Time 0900 - approx 16.30hrs

Location; the barn at the rear of the Rockingham Arms PH near Rotherham, South Yorks. (easy access from the M1).

For more details on how to get there check out the following site.

Anyone intersted please e mail Dale Johnson via the YFC website.

Cheers

Cheers Shaun
Not been too well since Christmas. Had a stack of tests and scans. Apparantly they did find my brain on one!

Glad my Harris is moulting though don't think I would have the energy to fly her.
Still checking the site on a regular basis though.

Guys if you get the chance go on one of these( if it is Neil Forbes) do it !. I found the one I went on about 10 years ago was invaluable, although I feel perhaps I should go on another one   .

I went on the above course today and it was superb, this course was new with some valuable info about all aspects of a falconry birds life, i also attended the old one about 8 years ago but some of the new info is a must to all Falconers.

Have to agree. The course was excellent. The man certainly knows his stuff.
In my opinion all new falconers should be made to go on a course before getting a bird but then thats another step towards regulation?
