Does any of you knows is it possible to come hawking in UK with your bird from Europe withouth having quarantin of three months?
I heard something about Austria. Someone told me that you don't need to have quarantin only regular bidrs paper :?:

Jastreb,

As far as I know the BOP does not have to go in quarantaine. But I guess the dog you might have will have to. But there should be some falconer here who can give you the correct answers relating to that also

yeh u can no probs i think as long as u r in the EU its just a case of filling out some form. a couple of falconers came over from belgium last season they told me. it was very easy to do.

coz birds can go where they like anyway i dont think they have the same restrictions as our four legged friends!

Not sure 100%, need to check up with regulations at work but if exporting a bird it must come from a Newcastles disease free area. If there has been an outbreak near to you then you will not be permitted to bring it to the UK.

i think all you need is a health certificate from a Vet

not sure of the up to date rules and reg however, Two years ago birds from Czech Rep had to be quarantined for 28 days, after they joined the EU last year it was not required

I had to do an export for a parrot to malaysia last year, DEFRA issued a certificate saying UK was free from Newcastles disease which entitled me to sign the declaration for export. And yes, a health check is required, usually within 48hours of travelling. Not sure about quarantine.

Hi,
when we imported a golden eagle from slovakia befor it got member of the eu we needed a health certificat and the normal papers that was enough as you won't sell the bird. If you get the bird into germany or austria you can go with it to every european country.

Thanks boys.
Croatia isn't in EU, but I ask that because I was thinking to go in Austria-few hours from me, and then to UK.
I think that can work!!!!!

check with DEFRA, you've got the web address further up the page, they are the ones that matter, but don't tell them you're coming from croatia if you're trying to do a fiddle from Austria.
Let us know when you're coming over if you want to get out on some land in the South.
Chris
