A Big Thank-you Bryn and Chris

I went up to Armthorpe Falcons today with Stu(Sbfalconry),Mark Springthorpe and Gary F,to pick up a male 7/8th Gyr/Saker....
I can't thank Bryn and Chris enough for there hospitality,bacon butties,mugs of coffee,showing us around the breeding pens and the fantastic looking birds that were in them.....
There set up is the best there is and you couldn't ever expect to meet two fantastic guys than Bryn and Chris....

Salty if i was going to buy another falcon Armthorpe would be my first point of contact,you've never seen better breeeding stock anywhere and there hospitality and advice is second to none,get yourself up there but make sure you take some cash cause you'll come away with something...
I wish i had a bit extra on me and i would have bought a peregrine as well....

I agree it's a great setup and top notch birds. Are you going to fly the 7/8ths for a little while to muscle it up before the moult? I believe the one you got is the brother to mine!

I had a Peregrine from Chris prior to his involvement at Armthorpe, and had a bird from them last year.

I have always found Chris, and now Bryn, to be more than welcoming and always keen to share information.

I'm looking forward to the prospects of their AI course and a youngster this year.

Glad you guys had the chance to visit their project.

there was 2 birds i fell in love with the black gyr they bred a clonking lump of a falcon and a peregrine imprint with the most unusually marked chest Ive never seen one like :supz:

I've heard from a few sources outside this forum how good Armthorpe's setup is, come to think of it unlike most other breeders I've not heard a bad word said about them by anyone!

I'll second that. I was with them Sat. I was thinking of the 7/8 myself, fine bird. Although a bought a pair else where they insisted I come over and see them.

Hospitality to an over excited(the birds lads) Irish guy was second to none. I know where I am buying my Gyr/Pere this season please god(economy picks up)
