Hi Johnny,

I've tested the New Mark II Ferret Finder and I must admit I much prefer the older finder infact I was intending to buy it but I took it back as I personally thought there were a number of faults with the system.

The older system is a lot more simpler to use and a lot more reliable to so I purchased another one instead. Having said all that it's just my opinion

All The Best,

johnny i have an old deben finder,it's stood the test of time and if you could see it you'd agree, it still works fine although it's been battered about a bit, try and pick one up second hand try the local add mags and such like,as for collars,i personaly have never had a ferret not accept the collar, they're always to bussy and excited to care.

I have two collars. I use up to three ferrets (depending on where I am going), and set two ferrets up ready to work. Then, if one gets a little tired or reluctant to work (not often I grant but it does happen) I swap the collar to the third ferret.

He advertises in countrymans weekly every few weeks - I think it's just him and his wife so his overheads are low.

He said on the old style locator ,the parts in a year or 2 will be fazed out and harder to find ,so i think ive took the best option .
