Firstly to the moderators- i realise this is blatantly not about falconry and understand if you want to take the thread off- but it's for a really good cause..... :)


I'm going to be running the race for life this summer to raise money for cancer research and would really really really appreciate it if you would sponsor me ( you can ignore andy showing off by pledging a fiver- a pound or 2 is fine)

It's 5k ( think that's about 3 miles) so not too bad but i want to run it all rather than run a bit, walk a bit etc- ran just over 4 miles the other day so should be ok, I'd like to get to 5 miles before the race though. so fingers crossed.

janh- thanks for clearing this up for wilfred!
jamie's after more flapjack as andy says mine is the best :) i make it with a layer of apple puree in the middle... i keep telling him he's a lucky lucky man to have me as his wife!

anyway a big thank-you to both wilfred and jan for generously sponsoring me , i really didn't expect anyone to , and was just keeping my fingers crossed that you didn't all think i was being cheeky asking.

Just wanted to say a big thank-you to everyone for their support and sponsorship, i did the race for life today. It was very hot and sunny but great and i'm feeling chuffed that i ran it in 30 minutes.
Total raised so far £80.50, i was hoping to raise £50 , so I'm pleased with that. There is still time to add a donation if you want :) maybe we could get it up to £100 - hope you're reading this mr cheshire- no pressure but you did say you'd sponsor me so you could add a couple of quid to the total
