Hello,

A kind person put up a link for a mock exam, it will give you an idea of what to expect. I am not sure where it is though so try doing a search or wait for some kind soul to help us out and put the link up.

E-mail some local ones to you and ask if you can go out with them sometime for a hunt. I doubt that if your just now getting into this, that you will get a license this season. Your best bet is to find a good falconer(stress the good part meaning don't just get a paper signer) Remember, do NOT call up a falconer and ask him/her to sponsor you as sure as the sun comes up, they will laugh and say no. You have to earn it by proving to this falconer that you have what it will take to properly practice falconry. Go out in the field with them, ask lots of questions and more importantly, show that you mean buisness when it comes to learning the ropes. Oh yea, ....don't be cocky to a falconer....they don't like that.....each falconer will have their own opinion on how they want you to do things and you must do as told. One thing you must understand is that falconers get approched all the time to sponsor someone who woke up one day and simply decided they want to try it....It takes alot of time out of a falconers hunting time to aid an apprentice to learn the proper methods so they tend to be picky about who they take on. Even more so if you are young and need to be an apprentice for more that the normal two years.
