Just wondered if Europeans eagle owls (4 week old ones) were supposed to be vocal - mine is so quite its scary!
The only real noises Ive heard are the "clipping" noise - if I do something he doesnt like or that "twittering" when Im picking him up and he isnt sure of what Im doing.
Should he be making any other noises - from I read in JPJ's books I thought I was going to need earplugs alll the time - but so far not a single thing!
My only worry is if this isnt normal is there something wrong with him and should I be taking him to a vet? He is eating well and very chipper - he likes to re-arrange his playpen after meals and practice pouncing and flapping once I let him out. I do play with him a fair bit.
(Sorry if this sounds daft - as I said before - Im paranoid......!!)
