How likely is it to be a permanent job? Id love to apply but could be a bit risky packing up and crossing the water for a summer job. When is the closing date for applicants?

There is a permanent position there for the right candidate. The position will be on a trial basis, then on a seasonal basis - I assume until early November when the park closes. Then if all the boxes are ticked a permanent job will be offered.

Why not fill in the online form?
It'll tell you what to put down. You're looking for a job, you've got access to the internet and you've got time on your hands.
It's more likely to get you a job than looking at pornography all day!

Good Luck with the next one.

Half the time jobs are advertised but they already have a person in mind for the job. Complete waste of everyones time.
Not saying that this is the case here... but it happens a lot....

Perhaps I'd best step in here.
Stuart - I apologise for the lack of communication. I'm afraid that I had the audacity to get married and go on honeymoon for a week. Today was my first day back at work. I may not have left the clearest of instuctions to my colleagues as to what needed to be done and I will accept all responsibility for this.
Regarding the interview process I can assure you that all candidates were treated equally and fairly. At no time did we have a 'preferred' candidate.
The calibre of the candidates was extemely high. And it took quite a number of discussions to arrive at our decision. We made the decision with the best and future interests of our department in mind and we are very happy with our new member of staff.
I trust this will satisfy all questions
