Don't ever buy a cheap swivel, buy one from a known and trusted source - they are only a £10 OR LESS FOR ONE THAT WILL NEVER LET YOU DOWN. It is false economy to buy cheap swivels - stop and think whats on the other end  and I don't mean a bow perch ring....
OF.
Well you can check the swivels i got now they are all made from Surgical stainless steel and TIG welded

Ali, As I said earlier I would only buy from a known and trusted swivel manufacturer. I have no knowledge good or bad of your products and will continue to use the swivels I have previously had faith and success with.
No doubt if your swivels are well made then people will buy them, I don't take chances with the security of my hawks.

Ali,
I take no offence from yourself or offer any offence - just stating a preference. I usually use Sampo fishing swivels with fitted rings for falconry swivels, cheap, strong and reliable. I fly a female sparrowhawk or a goshawk.

Be careful to get the correct size swivel for your hawk, they all look the same but come in different sizes. Ones suitable for a gos are usually about 6 or 7 dollars.

Moses,
You cannot tell how a swivel will perform and last from a photograph. They do appear well manufactured. A test is required.

yes of course i meant looks wise :D
i think i will let my nephew hang from one of them with a leash and pretend he is tarzan that will give me a rough idea if their good :D
well the swivels can hold alot of weight...........thats well tested........... i get them tested coz i also keep birds its not that only i deal in equipment but every year i set out a party for trapping passage birds as well as deal in passage birds too.
Ali
they are all tested coz i also use them myself, you can tie a big sheep dog with the extra large swivel thats for sure. hehehehe

i will try to use it on sheep im a scot u know :D
lol just kidding about the sheep :D
and i wanted to ask u bros, theirs alot of wildlife in pakistan so how do u keep your falcons and hawks safe, r they in a big avairy or do they still tether them on the manja inthe small villages
cheers
lolzzz manja and perches mate as well as a few servants during the season time (BAAZDARS) coz its loads of birds and 1 or 2 people cant manage em but we got a dera where we keep our birds and its like a no entry zone.

A female gos on a screen perch is the test I have in mind. I've seen plenty of swivels that don't stand up to it for the season.

heres how we keep our birds Moses mate hope your idea will be cleared out by these pics

lol mashallah bros your so ****ing cool i luv the shaheens :D my God only if we could import them :D so awesome
lol aye see i was right they still use manja's :D falcons luv em
guys manja is a bed in the villages no foam no nothing just string
in the olden times and still , as in the uk a dog is a mans best friend, a falcon and hawk is the pakistani and arabs best friend and the lil birdies used to sleep next to their owners :D so tame
im happy they still use manja's too without strings this time
this is how the west got the idea to make the carrying box for flying birds 4 tied on one box and it comes apart on the top
i dont know what we call it here , 4 legged table thing comes out of a box and peregrines r tied to it
thanks for the pics bros im gonna save them now, u made my day :D
any goshawks pls if u have any pics :D i wanna see my red eyed beauties :D
edited to add bros when i try to save the pic and check the link the pic says saker
they have a shaheens front belly and pattern
r they shaheens or sakers
cheers just the zigzag patter make it look like shaheens
All of them are passage sakers mate
Ali
Moses
17-07-2005, 10:03 PM
man their expensive :D andu have so many of them
first time i seen a passage saker bros they got a similiar patter in the middle as the shaheen specially the rednaped one without the colour of course
Moses
17-07-2005, 10:05 PM
sorry bros for talking sake how much do u sell your sakers to the arabs and locals

18-07-2005, 01:42 AM
r they really expensive bros
and which do u prefer for best hunting these sakers coz they do both ground and air hunts or the shaheen
man im a fan now bros, thats alot of birds u have, awesome stuff :)
Moses brother each year during the season its like that at my place its like a market, and i have flown alot of birds all passage coz we dont have captive bred birds here in Pakistan i am sending you a pic of my dad and a friend of his who came to Pakistan coz he was intrested in hunting with Goshawks, sakers are good hunters and like to play before they take down their querry, peregrines are dashing and fast they dont waste time, shaheens are a bit smalled than the peregrines but a black shaheen is hard to tell if its a peregrine or a shaheen.
Ali
Moses
18-07-2005, 05:35 PM
true bros a saker is good for those inbetween falcons and hawks for taking both flight and ground game
lol shaheens still have a similiar character as the scottish peregrine, their famous for straight on dashing :D and speed
inshallah one day i need to come and see your market place and see what its like to hunt in pakistan, will be something with the land all over
your falcons ever killed the murgabi bird bros :D they look big
and lol come on bros its just for experience whats the going market for one of your sakers to give me a rough idea if i go for hols and buy one during my few months stay
cheers
