just for the record and experience

i know u aint allowed this in the uk

anyone ever catch rabbits if their fast enuff that is or even baby rabbits wild ones

and bring them up till their older and breed them till theirs many

and when u train your hawks or sakers to hunt

get a mate to take a few out in a cage or box and release them and make the hawk or saker see it and hunt and train the same time

and the joy of seeing a living prey will excite the bird for sure

and practice the art the hard way coz the rabbit will try to dodge and turn and stop and run, something the lure will never can do properly.

i will tell u an example of trainers getting doves and tying their legs with a creance like string and letting it fly afar and then releasing the falcon to catch it in the air for training

its a method the old boys use
anyone tried anything similiar

On the whole, you cant raise wild rabbits in captivity, they are too nervous and die of heart failure (some one will now post to say they have!!)
They used to have large fake rabbit warrens where wild rabbits were fenced in rather than out, cant remember what they are called. they were used for training pointers and things, dont know if it is still done or if its legal. probably is legal as they are not protected unless you start hunting them in this enclosure.
