Well we had fun with Beebo last night! Asides of spending my entire day at work fretting about having to leave him at home because the heat was unbearable (even for me) and worrying he still wouldn’t be cool enough even though Id shut the curtains in our living room before the heat got a chance to build up (our house is south facing). I was a bag of nerves when I got home last night!! If we’d got stuck behind one more learner driver crawling along at 20 mph I honestly think Id have had a meltdown! He didn’t eat too well either but seemed chipper enough later on.

So there we were sitting have dinner and Junior was running about in the hall and kitchen. Next thing I hear is this splashing , banging and twittering – of course I dashed through thinking he had hurt himself somehow and what do I see? My owlet paddling in the dogs water bowl – and having a high old time while he was at it. He stopped splashing and looked up at me as if to say “What???” So we got the bath out we’d bought for him at the Game fair and put some water in it, well he was in there like a flash, never seen anything like it in my life. He was trundling about chucking water everywhere. Ive still got a stitch from laughing at his antics. Honestly it was hilarious. The dogs were fascinated, think they thought it was better than TV. So after the he splashed about for about half an hour we put the fire on so he could dry off properly before I put him in his pen and he sat there – wings spread out grooming his feathers and looking very pleased with himself, and guess what? Soon as I opened his pen this morning he was out and looking for his bath in the kitchen. We lifted the dogs dish as our old girl is almost 10 and the last thing she needs is 4 pounds of splash-happy eagle owlet landing in her water bowl while she is trying to have her breakfast. He will get his bath again tonight – and this time Im going to try to get a few pics of him. This is quite an experience!
