I would totaly buy the leather and make my self, because it makes the bound with you and your Hawk/Falcon even stronger. Although you would have to learn how to make it yourself. On the other hand, buying it would save you the time to do it your self, but it would'nt be the same.....

sorry no links on it :)

If you lived in the UK you could wait a life time for a sponsor!!
Over here I guess the answer would be to buy your first glove, then you know exactly the quality and kind of thing you are aiming for if you want to make your own!! 2 gloves can often come in handy for all kinds of things, especialy with a female red tail ?

Well...female redtails are very sweet!
Just make sure you get a parent reared redtail and you have a wonderfull bird.

To me a red tail is much nicer than a harris. But that's just some own opinion.

Don't think he gets the option of any thing but PR in the USA. But for the record Wilfred,... H Hawk any time!! you get the best of all worlds plus a hunting companion rather than just a bird to go hunting with

An males are small and fast,.. well H.H. males,  .. my only close encounter with a redtail didnt last more than 5 weeks, belonged to a friend and we found it a bit too 'layed back' He'd taken pheasant, hare and even a snake, but all in his own good time  Recon a passage bird would have to be more switched on tho or it wouldnt have survived!! One advantage you have over us in the UK, least you know the birds that have been reared are from hunting parents !!!!!!!!

ah..but size isn't every thing..so they say
Its a good slip and a super flight..How about the sky trials you have over there!! brilliant flights and a falconer praying his pigeon gets away!!
I hope that when you finally get your own bird you have great hunting with it, regardless of size or sex. Till then I'm sure your mentor will show you some good sport with good birds.
