My couple of barn owls reared already 4 chicks. Now the female is incubating new eggs. Is there any good method to stop them breading. Because I don't like it when they have youngsters in September. I'm also afraid of disturbing the nest because maybe they won't bread again next year.

Take the nest box out Jan. They will breed again once the nest box is replaced.

Thanks for the quick answers. lol
I don't know if you think I'm stupid but taking the nest box out or put one in an other aviary are solutions I could think of myself ;-).
I decided to cover the entrance of the box an wait till the female started to moult. Then I reopend the box an they spend the winter in it and laid eggs next spring.
However, I've sold this couple over 2 years ago, so this isn't a hot topic anymore. ;-)
