Hi there everyone. We are looking at starting into falconry, more than likely with a Harris hawk. My husband has already done a one day handling course so is a step ahead. We have both been reading books and watching videos and am sure at some point we will both be doing a course.
The thing is I think it would be great to get together with some local falconers to see exactly how its done and also where they go, which vet they use, where they get supplies and equipment etc etc.
Is there any member who fits the bill?? We live in the Furness area of Cumbria but traveling will not be a problem as obviously we both feel that this is important before we eventually get our own bird.
Would love to hear from anyone who can help but if not guess we'll just keep coming on here to annoy everyone with our questions!! :D
