Im so happy now ive got my Harris Hawk back!

I lent him out to a friend of mine, who does hunting days and he lost him 9 weeks ago. I didnt put it on the forum because i was absolutely gutted but a few people did know. He was lost in a place where he was killing a young rabbit every day and lots of people whitnessed him catching things but could not get close to him because he would just fly off.

He stayed in a one mile radius of where he was lost so i take it he took that as his territory. After about 5 weeks i lost all hope of ever getting him back, in the end we put a larson trap out with a dead rabbit in and tonight i had a phone call about 7.30 to say come and get Harry back. Now i have him home where he belongs.

What exactly is a Larson trap? I think it's a trap with hinged top doors that close and is used to trap Goshawks. Just not familiar with the design, tho.
