yeah he is an imprint alright, mantling on his food & hates the hood. Travelled him home bare headed in the vehicle. Weighed in at 13 & 3/4 oz & he is really thin so a good feed up was given.

i would go so far as to suggest the person that lost him then was perhaps not the original "imprinter" if you have the nounce to imprint well i would presume you have the nounce not to fly in mews jesses.......you never know tho i have come across stranger things........important thing is hes in goos hands at the moment so there is always a good chance of finding the owner.... :D :D

I not doubting you weight on the scales or condition of the falcon - but I'm telling you at 13 3/4 thin it ain't a male perlin - full stop.

Grow up - a male perlin flies between 9 - 10 oz maximum, how could it be 13 3/4 thin. The person who collected it is talking **** and the mews jesses say it all. No offence taken at your posting "whatever" but lets talk facts.
Yours Jim.

At that weight you initial guess of praire/ pere was the best guess. I flew a male prarie/pere at 1-3 .

No offence taken just lets have the truth - it ain't a male perlin unless your scales and feel of its keel is wrong or you've been given the wrong information.

BFC - you did a top class top catching (it) up and returning it alive and safe to its owner. I'm only pointing out i don't think its a male perlin thats all and no offence is meant at yourself. If its 13 3/4 thin what would its top weight be ? As I stated earlier most male perlins fly between 9-10 oz, I never heard of one this big.

How is it possible genetically to predict the weight of any hybrid? Especially one with as big a weight difference as a Peregrine and a merlin? I would imagine that the weight could fluctuate anywhere between the two weights???
Just out of interest though.?

Well you learn something new everyday, a male perlin bigger than a male barbary.

BFC, the biggest male perlin I had heard of till this one is about 10 1/2 oz, a friend of mine was flying a p/r male barbary at 12 oz - so this one you found is the biggest I've heard of.
