Lake Nemi

sorry for this being in english but my italian atm is very, very basic! :oops:

basically i've been offered a job near lake nemi and was wondering afew things... like, what the area was like? if there is anyone from the forum local to that area? what the situation is with falconry & hunting? both localy and in italy in general.

i'll be honest, i dont really know what game is in italy :oops:, looking at an old brid-book from my childhood i can gather grey partridge (perdix perdix, see, i did learn something at college), and probably rabbits & hares?

i, at the moment, dont have a bird but i'm always looking to go out and help/gain experiance. i'm very sorry for my ignorance on this topic, and any advice/infomation would be welcome

Sorry but i leave in different Region, so I no expert for Nemi.
Every Region in Italy has a different regulations.
The general low for Italy is:
The hunt season is from september to end of jannary.
The big problems which we must share a small hunt territiry with a hunters with guns.
For the law the italian falconers are like a hunters with guns.
So, for hunt vith BOP, you must have a Gun licence.
The quarryes are Perdix Perdix, (in italian name Starna) partrige, pheasant, magpie, grey crow, Hare, and a lot of small birds good for sparrowhawk.
Rabbits are only in Sicilia.
The weather in my location is very hot in summer, the top is in july- august with 25-35 degree and moderatly coold in winter in Jannary -7, 2 degree. We can have snow but no much (20 cm) and no for much time. If thear is snow hunt is close.
In sud Italy weather is little different and so in nord.
I hope there is some members wich leave in Lazio, for give you some more specific informations about Nemi.
Nemi sems to be a wanderfol place for live, but i do not knov the hunt situation.
