Paul,
I may buy some bullet jesses for a male Harris' I'm flying this season, not sure yet though..
If I do decide to get a pair can you make jesses with the flat bullet to accomodate 8mm eyelets? Only on your website it says that these are for smaller eyelets. I prefer the look of the flat bullets. I've never used bullet jesses, although I have had a play with them. The ones I've seen have a leash incorporated, I'm guessing you just use your traditional leash through the swivel with yours?
And most importantly what price are they?!
Cheers,
Sam

Are your loop leashes in the same colours that are available for the bullet jesses? If so I'd have one off you aswell mate. Black or green..
Cheers for this Paul

Yes the same stuff but I make them either with a leather washer, Loop one end or double looped:wink:

Via the loop.

how are these loop leashes fitted to the swivel
The single loop fits through the swivel and the other end is tieds as per normal with a falconry knot.
The double loop is more tricky and even more tricky to explain but there is a thread up and it is also in Dr Nick Fox's book.
Personally I like them double looped short and then they are used on the glove.

What length are your loop leashes Paul? And what would the price be for the jesses and loop leash?
Cheers

Oh right, thought you had them sorted too. Well wouldn't a loop leash without a leather washer on be adequate for attaching bullet jesses to the glove, as you don't need a leather washer in that case? Don't know if you're planning on making any like that but that would be an easy method of attaching jesses to glove when in the field?
If you do make something along these lines I'd be interested in a pair of bullet jesses and a loop leash.
Cheers Paul

right.
been having a play to see if i can figure out how to fit the double loop leash and i think i have it....
the loop at the very end goes through the swivel eye then through the lower loop, the tag end then passes through the end pool and all is pulled tight.....yes or no.?

i brought a loop leash from the I.B.R for when the bird was on the bow perch and it went throu the swivel as normal then throu the ring the the loop went back under the swivel and the loop passed over the top of the knot and pulled tight ????

Hi Paul,
I know someone here in the states that has made some of these for a few friends. He say's there is someone that holds a patent for the bullet jess system so he can't make them for sale. Would that person be you ???

Not so much the patent but the Trade Mark. It is owned by a Jim Coughlin in the States, just can`t remember his address at present but having spoken to him I would be very wary of selling under the "bullet jess system" especially in the States

I was looking to buy some, not sell them. I don't really care what someone want's to call them as long as they work.
