Hey Ben, when you scan click the Moire effect button, it will rid the scans of the Moire effect. They were obviously done from a book.

Ok same reason, when they print they have to screen it. I could get technical but cant be bothered :rolleyes:

A good way of stopping gits like me robbing the images though eh :) :) :) I bet its to do with the ink (now your gonna have to answer).

Well you asked for it. It's all to do with the original scan. They use a screen to scan things, then when it's printed the printers print tiny dots to make up the final image. When it is rescanned it applies a screen on it again and then you get the Moire Effect, which is the rainbows on your colour scans. The scanner software has a button you can tick to stop the screening and this will stop the moire effect, giving you a better scan. It's normally in the advanced settings of your scanner software.

ben last week a mate of mines told me some channel on sky had a programme about the khazak falconers who trapped eagles and manned them for 2 weeks and train them so quickly
i wish i had seen it
