actually please dont think i'm being rude but you seem to be asking a lot of 'newbie' questions. that is fine because you have to ask in order to learn but just how soon are you getting your bird? i just worry a bit well a lot about the welfare of owls so pardon my questions. I understand you are helping out at a centre but personally i do think it would be a fantastic idea to learn more about the birds you have there first.

i will send you a pm as it may be too long to post on here

Hi Spud,

What centre are you learning at? Im learning the Deer Centre near Cupar (Raptorworld). Ive got an EEO who will be getting his gear on in the next few weeks - I see you are local to where I live so if I can be of any help let me know.

I think Spud is at Elite

Thats a bit closer than Cupar for Spud - esp if you dont drive. We've been going to see the displays at The Deer Centre for a few years - thats what got me interested in owls/falconry etc in the first place.
