Like to see what peoples thoughts are on the gr8 bird : Buteo rufofuscus aka Jackal Buzzard :-)
I think these are gr8 birds but don't see a lot of them around centre wise...

I partially trained one, belonged to PCHay originally, he's done most of the work and can tell you alot more!
Fantastic display bird, was a little hard to get going at the start, weight controll mainly was the problem, but once she realised we ment bisness she was off! Like an eagle with the wings, a slower beat and heavy bird in stature, just started moult so she's a no-go ATM. Was around 2lb 10 I think, so a reasonably sized bird to be honest. great characters and a lovely noise!

Hi Hannah, the jackal is a gr8 bird to fly. friend has a male which flies at best at 1lb-15oz to 2lb. Gr8 bird with gr8 temperment :-) Nothing like the common buzzard aka grass cutter!

Yeah every time i see them in the wild there cutting grass
Our common soars all day long its down to who trains it m8.
Yeah the female i had was a joy to play with, very lazy and not for the novice. It was hard to get her fit but did so and got her chasing rabbits, probably the most enthusiastic bird at chasing as she would chase near on anything.
